How to Be a Student

There are several steps along the way to becoming a Literacy Council of Tyler student. If you are interested in becoming a student at LCOT, call 903-533-0330, Monday through Thursday, to make an appointment to enroll. Enrollments are done in a group setting.

GED

GED enrollment is a two day process and is offered 2-3 times per month on Monday and Tuesday and you must participate in both days in order to complete all parts of enrollment. Enrollment sessions are available in the morning and in the evenings.

Once enrollment is complete, GED participants are placed on a waiting list until they can be assigned to an orientation. Orientation is held the first Monday of each month and is a required part of our GED classes. After orientation, students begin classes. Distance learning opportunities are available. Please speak to the GED supervisor for more information about distance learning.
