Chera has been with LCOT since 2011. She was hired to design a program that would co-enroll GED and English students with workforce training offering additional academic support to ensure their success. Career Pathways has grown from serving 25 students a year to now serving more than 125 students per year.
Chera has obtained her Associate of Arts degree from TJC, her Bachelor’s in Psychology from UT Tyler, and her Master’s degree in Public Administration from UT Tyler. She has numerous other credentials including Texas Adult Education Teacher Credential from Texas Workforce Commission, Master Teacher RLA/Math from Texas A&M, and is an Integrated Career Awareness Trainer.
Chera is happily married to her husband of (almost) 21 years and has 3 children.
